Who we are
We are a unique organisation with no egos, just passion and commitment to get the job done
When you get involved with Menora, the first thing you’ll notice is the absence of egos. We are made up of generous people, working together to ensure that all members of our community feel connected, included and safe. There are no haves and have nots, just a collective of givers – givers of donations, goods, services, kindness and empathy.
Being a part of the Menora family is very special. It’s a safe place, where everyone is welcome to contribute in whichever way they can. From donors, to volunteers to clients, we are one community, working together for one another.
The Board
The Menora Board is responsible for the overall governance, management and strategic direction of the Menora Foundation. This involves overseeing the plans, policies and procedures in accordance with our goals and objectives.
Over the years our organisation has seen a significant increase in the allocation of financial aid, facilitated through a rigorous assessment protocol for those who require ongoing assistance. In addition to assessing client applications, we also oversee the psychosocial support services provided to our community.

Warehouse
Leadership Team
The Warehouse Leadership Team is made up of a combination of employees and dedicated volunteers, who ensure the efficient running of the Menora Warehouse. Each member of the team leads a different volunteer cohort or sector of the warehouse from sorting teams to Occupational Health and Safety management, to Social Media and Advertising. This provides a strong foundation for a fun and rewarding warehouse experience for our volunteers and efficient running of the warehouse as a hub of Menora.

Our volunteers
The Menora Foundation is a massive umbrella under which all segments of our community come together to serve those experiencing hardship. We can confidently boast the happiest, most joy-filled cohort of volunteers, who collectively feel that they get as much out of volunteering at Menora as they are giving. We bring together young and old from a wide range of affiliations in an open, welcoming, fun environment with the common goal of doing good.

Our employees
Menora employs 5 staff members, including a General Manager, Social Worker, Community Worker, Youth Co-ordinator and Financial Administrator. These roles are critical to the smooth and efficient running of the organisation and our employees are committed to making Menora an open, warm and dignified safe place for our clients and community.

I began volunteering at Menora because I was looking for something to do that would be meaningful. I never expected to find friendship, fun and such a feeling of family. I love knowing that the time I spend at the warehouse is helping my community.
