Every gift makes a world of difference to our community. We are deeply appreciative of your generosity and commitment to Menora’s mission of extending a hand of kindness.

Common questions

What goods are acceptable as donations?

Goods can be donated directly at the Menora warehouse, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm. Please don’t bring goods outside of these times as it encourages theft and can be a security risk.

  • We accept good-quality, clean clothing and shoes, homewares, and small furniture items for distribution or to raise funds through our popular Woodrow Lane pop-up sales.
  • Non-perishable foods are also welcome and will be distributed directly to families facing hardship.
  • Household items like dinnerware must be in excellent, clean condition, with no chips or scratches.

Please note that we are unable to accept donations of baby goods such as strollers, cots, highchairs, doonas, or pillows.

And, if you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t give it to us.

Thank you for your generosity and support!

Is the warehouse open to the public?

We open for pop-up sales approximately once a month on a Sunday morning.

Join the Menora volunteer family

Our volunteer cohort is a vibrant group ranging from school children to retirees and many in-between. We have people working in the warehouse doing a range of jobs from clothes sorting, jewellery, electrical checking and tagging and more. We also have volunteers who offer pro-bono services and skills that benefit our clients. We are always looking for new volunteers and are open to new opportunities, so if you have a special skill, we can find a place for you at Menora.
