Meet Rose, our queen of fashion!
Rose started volunteering at Menora in 2012 and has been an integral part of the warehouse ever since. She is a member of the Warehouse Leadership Team and is in charge of the clothes sorting room. This is a mammoth task and one she does with patience, love and incredible organisational skills. You will never see Rose without a smile, a friendly word and warmth for everyone she meets.
Rose is extremely beloved outside of our community as well. At our Woodrow Lane Garage Sales, customers regularly refer to Rose as their stylist because of how enthusiastically and generously she invests in making every shopper feel special and unique. Rose is the face of Menora to our customers and they adore her.
It’s volunteers like Rose, who work tirelessly and with such love, that make the Menora Warehouse such a safe, warm and welcoming place to both work and shop.
“Volunteering for me is giving back to the community I grew up in. The people you meet here have the biggest hearts. To those thinking of becoming volunteers, I’d say it is very rewarding and you can change someone s life in need.” – Rose

Every donation makes a world of difference to the people we care for.
Nobody in our community should experience homelessness, domestic violence or food insecurity. Sadly, these are just some of the issues that some in our community are facing right now. If you can, please consider donating to help our community to uplift itself.

Our volunteer cohort is a vibrant group ranging from school children to retirees and many in-between. We have people working in the warehouse doing a range of jobs from clothes sorting, jewellery, electrical checking and tagging and more. We also have volunteers who offer pro-bono services and skills that benefit our clients. We are always looking for new volunteers and are open to new opportunities, so if you have a special skill, we can find a place for you at Menora.
