It’s all happening in the Warehouse

At the heart of the Menora community is the Warehouse

The Menora Warehouse is the hub of our organisation. It’s where we receive donations, sort and manage the incredible array of goods that are dropped off daily by our generous community and it’s where we host our monthly Woodrow Lane garage sales. On any given day at the warehouse, you’ll find a hive of activity as volunteers work to keep things running. The soundtrack of the warehouse is constant laughter and banter as volunteers of all ages and segments of our community come together to ensure the hard work of the warehouse gets done.

Our mission is to make the most of every donation, so that we can give away and sell only the best quality goods, maximise profits of sales to uplift our clients and ensure the most sustainable outcomes for our planet. We are extremely proud that annually, we have been able to save 9 tons of clothing and 11 tons of household goods, adding up to 20 tons per year saved from landfill. Over 9 years, we have been able to save 81 tons of clothing and 99 tons of household goods from landfill. This is so important to us, as we strive to care for our local community as well as our planet at large.

Woodrow Lane

Approximately once a month, sometimes more, we convert the warehouse into a bustling boutique op-shop where we sell the goods, clothing, toys, homewares, jewellery and anything else that’s been donated. 100% of the proceeds of these garage sales go to the care and upliftment of our clients. Woodrow Lane sales are not just garage sales, they are events and because our volunteers are friendly, fun and welcoming, we have curated a loyal and adoring customer base. Woodrow Lane has become the outward facing presence of the Menora Foundation and an extremely positive facet of who we are.

Recycling & sustainability

We are extremely proud that annually, we have been able to save 9 tons of clothing and 11 tons of household goods, adding up to 20 tons per year saved from landfill. Over 9 years, we have been able to save 81 tons of clothing and 99 tons of household goods from landfill. This is so important to us, as we strive to care for our local community as well as our planet at large. We have done this by selling used goods, repurposing unwanted goods and goods that are perceived as unusable and mindfully recycling whatever we can. This mindfulness applies to all that we do and is a core value of our organisation.
