What’s on in the Warehouse
The warehouse is the beating heart of Menora.
The Menora Warehouse is the hub of our organisation. It’s where we receive donations, sort and manage the incredible array of goods that are dropped off daily by our generous community and it’s where we host our monthly Woodrow Lane garage sales. On any given day at the warehouse, you’ll find a hive of activity as volunteers work to keep things running. The soundtrack of the warehouse is constant laughter and banter as volunteers of all ages and segments of our community come together to ensure the hard work of the warehouse gets done. Our mission is to make the most of every donation, so that we can give away and sell only the best quality goods, maximise profits of sales to uplift our clients and ensure the most sustainable outcomes for our planet.
Youth involvement
Every week, we have youth from the age of 9 through to late teens in the warehouse, volunteering their time and learning all about what it means to be a generous volunteer in our community. Our Youth co-ordinator, together with volunteers and youth leaders guides them as they clean, sort, pack, hang clothes, put together food packs and other warehouse activities. Through this kind of volunteering and inter-generational cohesion, we are growing a love for Menora, a commitment to charitable giving and developing the future leaders of our organisation.

Woodrow Lane sales
Approximately once a month, sometimes more, we turn the warehouse into a retail space, lovingly known by the wider community as Woodrow lane. We convert the warehouse into a bustling boutique op-shop where we sell the goods, clothing, toys, homewares, jewellery and anything else that’s been donated. 100% of the proceeds of these garage sales go to the care and upliftment of our clients.

Join the Menora volunteer family
Our volunteer cohort is a vibrant group ranging from school children to retirees and many in-between. We have people working in the warehouse doing a range of jobs from clothes sorting, jewellery, electrical checking and tagging and more. We also have volunteers who offer pro-bono services and skills that benefit our clients. We are always looking for new volunteers and are open to new opportunities, so if you have a special skill, we can find a place for you at Menora.
