Support services

We provide financial disbursements, social welfare and psycho-social support and food baskets.  We offer financial support for Jewish festivals and Youth organisations and professional services are provided through our network of pro-bono donors.

Psychosocial Support

Menora employs a full time Social Worker and a part time Community Worker who assist clients with applications for housing, NDIS support and help them to access the many other support systems available.  They also off Psychosocial and Community support as needed, as well assisting with Budget planning and connecting clients with Financial support when appropriate.

Financial support

Menora  provides individuals and families experiencing hardship with financial support. Menora’s aim is to always support those in desperate need, and to empower them to become financially independent once again.

Jewish Festivals

Menora provides additional support over the chaggim to ensure families can celebrate and enjoy  the festivals in a meaningful way.  Gift parcels of food items are put together with love, often decorated with included handmade cards and provided with great love to clients.

Social connection

The Menora warehouse is the hub of our organisation and a place for volunteers to connect and give back to the community. Many of Menora’s clients also enjoy being part of the volunteering cohort and enjoy being able to connect to community and find great purpose in giving back. Many clients who volunteer in the warehouse have communicated that this gives them a sense of dignity and community that cannot be underestimated. We also hold a monthly coffee club with guest speakers, providing a morning tea and a place to meet and make friends, which is open to the whole community and is enthusiastically attended across the board.
