Jewish Festivals

Chaggim are a time for our community to come together and celebrate our traditions. Food and community cohesion are fundamental parts of this togetherness and we take great joy in being able to make these holidays special for our clients.

Thanks to community donations, we are able to purchase special food and drinks for each Jewish festival and together with our youth groups, we put together festive packs for our Menora families and individuals in our care.

Chaggim Food Parcels

On Purim, Rosh Hashanah and Chanukah, food parcels are packed lovingly with a mix of nutritious and tasty Kosher foods (often baked by the youth who volunteer with Menora) and  delivered to clients to help provide a feeling of joy and community during the holidays.

Join the Menora volunteer family

Our volunteer cohort is a vibrant group ranging from school children to retirees and many in-between. We have people working in the warehouse doing a range of jobs from clothes sorting, jewellery, electrical checking and tagging and more. We also have volunteers who offer pro-bono services and skills that benefit our clients. We are always looking for new volunteers and are open to new opportunities, so if you have a special skill, we can find a place for you at Menora.
