Support services

Menora provides financial disbursements, social welfare and psycho-social support, as well as professional services by a network of pro-bono donors. We also provide food baskets and money for Jewish festivals.

Crisis support

We can provide short term assistance for individuals and families in crisis, which may include:

  • Referrals to specialised services
  • Temporary accommodation (subject to availability)
  • Short-term financial assistance (subject to assessment).

MIFWA (Mental Illness Fellowship of WA)

MIFWA offers support for individuals with mental health conditions and those who care for them.
They can be contacted at 08 9237 8900 between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.

MensLine Australia

MensLine Australia offers professional telephone counselling support at no cost, accessible 24/7.
If you have concerns about stress, mental health, anger management, family violence (whether using or experiencing), addiction, relationships, or stress, please call 1300 789 978 or access the services online.

Psychosocial support

At Menora Foundation we are committed to providing professional, confidential, and compassionate support to help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and achieve their goals. Our social services team, which includes a Social Worker and a Community Worker, offers tailored assistance based on individual needs.

Once you connect with our social services team and undergo an initial assessment by our Social Worker, we can provide access to relevant support services, including:

  • Navigating Government and Community Services – Assistance with accessing and understanding services such as MyGov, My Aged Care, Centrelink, Housing, and the NDIS.
  • Referrals to Local Services – Helping you find and connect with the appropriate support services, with guidance on the referral process.
  • Financial Assistance – Limited financial support for individuals experiencing hardship, subject to a comprehensive financial assessment.
  • Budget Planning – we can assist with creating a budget planner to assist with basic financial planning.
  • Emotional Support – One-on-one support to help individuals process emotions and manage distress.
  • Crisis Support – Short-term assistance for individuals and families in crisis, which may include:
  1. Referrals to specialised services
  2. Temporary accommodation (subject to availability)
  3. Short-term financial assistance (subject to assessment)
